Carman's Office

Carman’s is one of Australia’s great success stories, creating Australia’s favourite breakfast and snacking products for over 25 years. Naturally, Carman’s required an office space befitting of this success so engaged Ewert Leaf – a Melbourne architecture, interior and urban design agency – who have done an incredible job of interior design and styling. Showcasing numerous on-trend products from Multitude, the results speak for themselves. Let’s take a tour.

Rather than a standard reception area, visitors are greeted by a lovely café where they can check in with a friendly barista, order a coffee and sample the latest Carman’s products. Matte Black Domino sink mixers and Virtus stainless steel sinks in titanium create an interesting workspace for café staff. Visitors will notice the hanging plants used by Ewert Leaf throughout the office, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

Next, we find a dedicated staff yoga room and gym with Multitude’s Whitewash Russian Oak timber flooring creating a warm sanctuary of wellbeing. After a workout, staff can retreat to the nearby bathroom and change room complete with shower cubicles and more hanging plants. This light, clean space features Multitude’s custom joinery, white circular basins, wall-mounted hand basins and Black Vogue tapware and shower accessories with unique copper details. Classic white porcelain subway tiles are accented by 600x600mm Lava Limestone floor and wall tiles.

The office bathrooms continue this theme of soft greys, stark white and bold black with wooden joinery. The same Vogue tapware and 600x600mm Lava Limestone tiles are this time complemented by black marble basins and modern white toilets for a contemporary touch.

In a business devoted to food, naturally the staff kitchen takes pride of place in the open plan office – a focal point surrounded by desk cubicles, hanging plants and colourful artwork. Custom kitchen joinery in warm earthy woodgrains and terracotta tile splashbacks add warmth to exposed pipes, powder-coated steel frames and concrete flooring – creating a unique industrial aesthetic. Again, copper makes a memorable impression with a Virtus stainless steel sink in copper colour, complemented by Vue sink mixers in polished chrome. Finally, black glass Ilve kitchen appliances from Eurolink tie the whole look together for a lasting impression.
